Description

A Lab Analyst is responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring accurate results to support research, quality control, or diagnostic activities. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and strong analytical skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests and experiments on samples (chemical, biological, or physical).
  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Record and document all test data accurately.
  • Assist in method development and validation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory of lab supplies and order materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments for project support.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques and instruments
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, Lab software)
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Understanding of safety and quality standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (if applicable)
  • Experience with laboratory equipment and testing methods

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in quality control or research labs
  • Familiarity with ISO, GLP, or GMP standards
  • Hands-on experience with instruments like HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers
