Description
A Software Analyst is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing software solutions, and supporting development teams to deliver efficient and high-quality applications. The role bridges the gap between business needs and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications
- Work closely with developers, testers, and stakeholders
- Perform system analysis and identify improvement areas
- Create documentation (SRS, use cases, workflows, diagrams)
- Support software design and development processes
- Conduct testing and validate system functionality
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software issues
- Ensure software meets quality standards and user expectations
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and project planning
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL)
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Trello
- Basic understanding of programming (Python, Java, etc.)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of testing tools (Selenium, JMeter is a plus)
- Experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder communication
Nice to Have
- Experience with data analysis tools
- Knowledge of APIs and system integrations
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
