Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30-3:00 PM CST, ocassional Saturdays maybe 1 day a month for a half a day.

Job Title:    Processing Technician

Position Overview

  • Responsible for the daily management of laboratory samples and document retention systems.  Support the processing team in sample preparation and analysis of forage samples.

 

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support processing teams with sample processing and testing.  T
  • asks include but are not limited to sample grinding, NIR scanning, labeling, and weighing.
  • Participate in lab housekeeping program and follow designated policy
  • Proactive focus on workplace safety and shows initiative to work safely and follow policy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and associated tools

 

Experience:

  • At least one year of relevant experience
  • Work effectively within a team, with strong communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma 

 

Miscellaneous Position Notes: 

  • Leather shoes are required for laboratory work.  It is the contractor’s responsibility to have adequate footwear prior to work start date.
  • Contact lenses are not allowed in the laboratory.
  • Various ingredient samples that may contain potential allergens are handled routinely in this facility.  Including but not limited to milk, peanuts, eggs, tree nuts, soy, gluten, fish, and shellfish.
  • A clean shave will be required for tasks requiring respirator use
